Photographer's Note

The picture was taken during a walk along the river Thames (which is called Isis in Oxford). The horses were on the other shore, in Port Meadow, a common land closely associated with the name of Lewis Carroll who told the story of 'Alice in Wonderland' to Alice Liddel and her sisters on a boat trip upstream to Godstow, past Port Meadow, on 4 July 1862.

Tech: I enhanced colour saturation and used de-noising to make the picture more expresive.
