Photographer's Note

A little different to my usual dragonfly macros but. This was shot in the same building as the radiator which was a lace factory but is now a college now teaching art and design (Now called the Adams Building) it was built some time in the 1800`s ( queeen Victoria) and seems to have lots of original features still in place hidden in corners. This spiral stairs is in one corner of the building and goes all the way from top to bottom. there are small windows letting in light on the way up hence the odd bright spot as you go up.
To take the photo I had to lay curled up on the floor inside the spiral in a sort of well at the bottom , place the camera on the floors in the middle with the back turned towards me so I could frame the shot , tried very hard to get a focus point about a third of the way up. the shot is what I would call hand surpported and using available light. had tried this shot at night but it did not work with-out the sunlight at the top.
This an uncropped photo just resized to 800 X 600 Px for TE other treatments where,
Open and adjust levels
saturation +4 lightness +7
Brightness -2 contrast +10
unsharp mask 122% X 1.9 px radius threshold 1
save to web @ 197K

Now I know it could do with neat image or If there is a way to do it in PS7 I would be gratful to Know.
I will post a WS showing how it feels after a few drinks , :0(((#
