Photographer's Note
Another picture taken on my recent trip to Lindisfarne. This time I have a boatshed in the forground. These are sheds used for storeage etc but are shaped like upturned boats. Peculiar to this area I think. I like this picture because of the way the contours of the shed echo the contours of Lindisfarne Castle in the distance. What do you think.

You are right about the contours Peter it does lend symmetry to the shot. Well spotted. Good choice changing to greyscale.

I like the B&W treatment and the blurred foreground, Great POV IMO :)

this is an excellent shot. the depth and composition of this shot are all fantastic. I think the b/w is a good choice for this shot because it adds an epic feel to the shot. contrast and sharpness are both quite good as well. nice shot!

Very nice BW. The hard contrast enhances the un-comfort felt in the atmosphere which is good. Also like the use of the boat shed in the foreground. But in this case I think I would like to see it more in focus. Perhaps focusing on it and setting a long DOF could do the trick.

You sure made an effectful compo here Peter. Very good use of the details. The foreground (boat?) is in a top balance to the hilltop castle. Very nice work, the BW with the hard contrast is another nice add-on

very original and interesting vision, the form of the boatshed makes a interesting movement with the castle in the background. excellent B&W. regards Alex
