Photographer's Note
Bamburgh Castle, on the Northumberland coast, taken shortly after sunrise on an August morning.
I had hoped to get some shots of the castle in silhouette, against spectacular sunrise colours, but at this time of year, the sun rises too far to the North and East to allow this.

Bonjour James,

Bravo!

very good...i have done these with st michaels mount cornwall and always got a winner...some seaweed would have clinched it...you are allowed to 'garden'
:)
excellent use of dof...even the human eye cant focus on infinity..which doesnt exist even in lenses..
cheers

A glorious shot of one of my favourite places. Good use of the sand ripples and water to add an extra sense of depth to the composition, with well controlled levels of exposure. A pleasure to look at. TFS.
Well scanned as well, I've just realised it's on film.

Hi James,
I like a lot the composition with large place given to the sand and the traces. The light is great, too

Nice shot. There are many pictures of this great castle on TE and you need something to set yours apart. In this case, I think the ripples and reflections in the wet sand do the job nicely. They draw your eye into the photo and up to the focal point of the castle, well done.
