Swan Lake, a photo from North Yorkshire, England

Just by chance while looking for some local landscapes to photograph I happened to notice this swan with its young family on a small lake, within seconds they were ashore and all around me just asking to be photographed, hope you like.

This is a great photograph except for one major flaw , the horizon needs to be leveled and you can do that in Photoshop quite easily.Jim

Nice capture of the swan with her cygnets. Also with the lake behind there are some pretty reflections. Is this Locke Park?

Good shot of what I would say, semi wildlife Irene. I've noticed you are still using compac camera's, I think it is time you moved up to a Single Lense Reflex Camera.

Nice swans - you must have a calming personality. Me, they want to attack and bite when I get near! Great pov, light and colors.

Hola Irene...a very attractive view...very intimistic (hope I have not invented a word that does not exist !...sorry it would be me mentally translating from Spanish))...the positioning & look of the main motif make close contact with the viewer. Her "children" & lake in the background complete a lovely scene.

Hi Irene, A very beautiful swan, i am one of those photographers that loves wild life but can't snap so much as my pet dog when he is asleep, this is a great capture, i,ve never been to sure about swans they hiss to much, this shot is well focused, nice colours & good light, just a shame he/she was not looking at you, however i don't think it would of posed if asked they are so stubben, kind regards Wilson.
