Photographer's Note

What a coincidence! While walking along the marina in Whitby, I spotted a boat called Sea Trek!
This was supposed to be a sunny day with no wind so a walk along the yacht harbour seemed like a great idea. The sun came out as predicted but, surprisingly, so did the wind, which made the reflections in the water less smooth.
Whitby is one of the biggest tourist attractions along the North Yorkshire coast. I have showed several photos with the main Whitby sights here before:

Actually by giving you the link above I realized again why I like(d) TrekEarth. I was recently approached by a member of the alternative website 500px, were many former TE members moved. He encouraged me to move over. I still really believe that the possibility of organizing photos according to countries/counties/towns being also illustrated with maps (not functional anymore) is quite unique to TrekEarth.

Fantastic picture outcome, Mariusz.
There is a great contrast from the marina blue and white prevailing tones and the red bricks and red roof-tiles houses on the background.
Light was superbly favorable, excellent POV found, cheers.

Hello Mariusz,
A cool name for that boat! Wonderful view of the town and the marina. I like the colour contrast of the blue water and some blue parts of some boats and the red colours of the houses and roofs. The mood is really nice and peaceful thanks to the sunlight and the calm water.

Hello Mariusz,
Yes, I remember your previous pictures of Whitby.
It is surely a very picturesque town in the north of England and a place that offers many opportunities to take pictures with reflections when the weather is fine.
Just like you, I like the way TE makes it possible to organize the photos geographically. I don't think there is one other site that offers this, something that people who like to travel find a necessity.

it is a marvelous view with the many boats and many façades so well matched and illuminated. excellent job.
yes, if I had a similar alternative I would have moved many years ago from TE. photofolia was the nearest, but it was gone. I post the same photos in FB and instagram, but it isn't the same.

Ciao Mariusz,in fact the options that this site offers are unique, too bad some are out of order like updating the maps of the countries visited, but I stay here among old friends ... hehe..beautiful photo with the boat that remembers the name of this site, the wind has given that electric touch to the reflections that I really like. Hi Mariusz,
Whitby is a famous seaside town, and I certainly would like to visit it some day. Red brick buildings create almost uniform barrier to background. And mass of boats create same kind of effect to the foreground.

Hello Mariusz, one of my favourite places, but nowadays just a little too far from where we live to visit with any ease.
I like how you have composed this picture with the red roof and red bricks in the upper half of the scene, and then a strong accent of blue on the lower half of the shot.
I wonder how far afield the SEATREK boat travels?

Whitby! Wow!
There always seems to be a beautiful, artistic or interesting view that has never been captured before!
I like this, with the horizontal layers of boats and buildings, sandwiched between two different blues.
The reflections make a great introduction to the scene.
The 'Sea Trek' was a chance not to be missed!

Sensational composition with this port where the boats are seen as very tight, those in the foreground give a nice reflection, the sensation of the houses also give the sensation of being very close together, with little space between them and a little more trees, a great contrast between the dominant reddish of the same and the white-blue of the port.
A curious composition, with great colors, splendid light and excellent sharpness with fine details.
