Photographer's Note

About half an hour ago I was sitting with the patio door open trying to photograph a siskin feeding on the niger seed when there was a commotion, the cat ran indoors and this chap appeared on the lawn. A majestic bird, the common pheasant isn't often found in domestic gardens (unless you own a stately home) but we're lucky to live close to open fields and the river so we get the occasional surprise visitor.
Cropped and sharpened a little with no colour amendment - his plumage has more than enough.
