You have seen already this lovely pier at the blue hour from above and recently also from a side. Here a closer view. This illumination below the deck results in an amazing effect. On that evening I had a stormy weather with big splashy waves, which at the 15 seconds exposure time created an effect of a mist. Saltburn has one of the closest beaches from where I live.

This reminds me of pictures I once saw of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
The bridge is completely different, of course, but I'm talking about the way it rises above the fog.
If I understand correctly, there was no fog in Saltburn that evening but what we see here is the effect of the big splashing waves.
Truly a very artistic photo!

I'm guessing the temperature of the air is much colder than the the water. I'd imagine if the water was frozen and the air was warmer you would get the same ethereal effect. Good sharpness and graphism. Tfs!

hello Mariusz, the illumination gives a lovely effect to the pier. From this angle we can see how long it actually is.
The long exposure time has created a lovely impression; we would not have realised that the sea was stormy if you hadn't said.

this one is more minimalist. looks like the structure of the pier is positioned above a large board of ice that is being melted.lovely effects of light and colors. perfect.
