Photographer's Note

For the first time on TrekEarth you can see the ruins of Middleham Castle (in this photo). I am so proud to show something new from England. The ruins are quite sizable and since I have seen a photo of them I hoped to visit it by myself. A good opportunity happened last weekend. I had a lovely weather over there although the freezing wind destroyed a bit the mood. But you cannot see the wind in the photo so you are safe. Although it was sunny I wasn’t able to take a good photo from a distance due to unfavourable light, hence a fragment of the ruins here. The castle advertises itself as a place where King Richard III spent his childhood. You can read more about it on the English Heritage site or in Wikipedia.
