Photographer's Note
This wonderful building in Carleton, West Yorkshire was once a weaving mill. Many of the old historic mills, despite the splendour of their architecture, have been flattened and their stones removed. Thankfully, this mill has not suffered such a fate! Someone has had the foresight to recognise its potential. It now contains many high quality flats which complement the area and are highly prized.

Hi Beverley. Really nice shot of a majestic old building. I'm from the other side of the Pennines (Cheshire) but travelled extensively and still love these places. Nice to see one removated instead of knocked flat. Regards and TFS. Paul.

Hello Beverley,
Nice stonework there, brought out by your good work, good focus.
It is good to see that someone/company did renovate this fine architecture into flat/housing. Various bodies always saying such a shortage of housing.
I done a posting of Anchor Cotton Mill in Paisley. I looked into maybe buying, price was high for a flat.Though very well preserved building now.
Thanks for sharing. Rob.

Hello Beverly,
great architecture photograph. I like the composition, sharpness and geometry of the picture. The tree at the leftmost part of the picture adds some dynamic to the scene which makes it more attractive. Thanks for this one.
Best regards,
Jarek.

Yo Beverley,
I really like the POV you've used in this photo. It gives a great lead into a vanishing point for the eye and think the bricks offer good texture.
Cheers

Hi Bev,
Lovely old mill being put to good use. Love the spring tree blooming and the rich texture of the old stone work.
Many such mills throughout New England are being used for the same purpose.
Merry Christmas and Healthy Happy New Year.
Regards, Tom
PS I think I'm getting coal stocking because my granddaughter keeps asking me what I'm getting from Santa. I think she is up to something.
