Photographer's Note

Another Liverpool shot. This was taken October 2006 when Liverpool hosted a Festival of the Sea. Though it is not apparent from the photo, the weather had not been so great with rain throughout. However, the clouds suddenly dissipated for long enough to capture a number of decent quality snaps. This is taken from one of the tables put out for festival visitors so ordinarily would necessitate crouching down.
The subjects are the Playhouse Theatre and St. John’s Beacon.

The Beacon is a valued part the Liverpool skyline. However, it has not always been popular. (Nothing changes as the Liver Buildings were criticised at the time of construction and there has been recent controversy over a proposed ‘Fourth Grace’.)

The picture has PP Autolevels help but nothing severe as the lighting conditions were OK.
I used PhotoFiltre (thanks Per) to produce a decent size. The original is about 900KB.
