Photographer's Note

Here's another one from the Albert Docks in Liverpool.

---

THE ALBERT DOCKS are old shipping docks near the city centre along the river Mersey. They have long been redeveloped and have become a must visit on any trip to Liverpool. There are shops, bars, food and coffee places, and also two of the city's most visited museums: The Beatles Story and Tate Liverpool.

THE PINK COLUMNS are a trademark feature here. In reaction to a previous picture of mine, they reminded a TE member of the Minoan palace in Cnossos. Minoataur alert!

THIS PICTURE focusses on a guy walking along the columns under the arches of the old docks. In the background a small crowd of lucky ones are enjoying a drink in the winter sun. The name of that particular food and drink bar is Revolution.

A man walks by, checking his phone.
A message from a loved one?
A call to arms? Or maybe
he's just checking the date.
Yes, this is late October
in Liverpool.
