St Paul's & Millennium

I was in London for the weekend and here's a first result from this trip. The photo was taken last Sunday morning from the bank of the River Thames. It shows the famous dome of St Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge.

St Paul's Cathedral was built in the late 17th century as part of the rebuilding of the City of London after the Great Fire of London in 1666. It was designed in English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren. The London Millennium Footbridge is a steel suspension bridge linking Bankside with the City of London. It opened in June 2000.
