Red 'Routemaster' bus, London, England

The open planned, hop-on/hop-off, conductor manned 'Routemaster' buses served London for many decades and became a symbol of the city and country. The last scheduled service with a Routemaster bus was on 9 Dec 2005, to be replaced by more modern buses, and London lost a much loved icon.

Rather than a straighforward shot, I hand-zoomed the 28-135 lens during a several second exposure to record the zooming effect. It took several attempts to get the exposure length and zoom speed right, but at least with digitla it didn't cost anything to keep trying! I could have done the effect in photoshop, but it was more fun on the street!

What do you think? A new technique for me, so all feedback appreciated - dramatic energy symbolising vibrancy of London City or just distracting blur?

p.s hi! sorry if you're hoping for a bigger pic. I always upload to the web at a maximum 550 pixels on the long side, and always with my contact details (a web url) on them. I know others post bigger here on TE, but I hope you can respect this small control I put on my shots on the web, and I hope you still enjoy the pic, and I look forward to ANY feedback you can give about the picture.

Thanks, I look forward to reading your critique.
