Photographer's Note
"A foggy day, in London town
Had me low, had me down
I viewed the morning, with much alarm
British Museum, had lost its charm"
Well, I guess here it's not that that foggy, but really a busy day in London town.
The week-end it's full of visitors and tourists; during the week it is full of people going to work, coming from it, going for lunch break, for a meeting or whatever. Just full of busy people.
Here we are in Oxford street, going to the City. During the day, this street is only open to buses and taxis. And of course peatons.
And still this busy feeling. That's what I wanted to show with this one, taken from the upper deck of the classical red buses.
Ok, I know that bus 139 is not very well placed according to the composition rules, but still... By having it here, it gives even more the feeling of a busy street, don't you think ?
(anyways, I did'nt really have choice on that, as the light was going green soon, and I had to hurry :o))

Hi Youssef,
So here is the famous reb bus on London and its cab as well.
I like this compo, it is very dynamic.

I like this shot, showing one moment in life and I think it will be valuable 20 years later. Life in this street looks vivid and lively. Thank you for sharing.

Salut Youssef,
Moi je l'aime bien ce bus 139, il apporte une touche de couleur tres londonienne et bienvenue dans cet univers gris/noir. J'ai fait un petit WS pour te proposer un cadrage un peu different.
Bon week end,
Jean-Yves

Hi Youssef...this is a great shot of grey old London. The red double decker bus stands out amoungst the greyness. Well captured. Excellent DOF. I wouldn't worry about the bus not being placed according to "composition rules", it wouldn't have worked any other way.
Keep up the good work mate!

This is nice enough, especially the man striding forcefully across the street, but for me it would be much more compelling if there were something specific to capture my interest, rather than just an overall scene. I think the best street photography has people in the close foreground, showing some slice of life, with the rest of the scene visible as background.
Placement of the bus is not a significant problem, though, I think!

Hello, Youssef! London is unique, that's for sure! I was there for the first time perhaps around 1976 and it was a very strong experience. I love the atmosphere, the cold weather, the fog... and, of course, the "crazy" movement.
This is a very good daily life scene, full of colour and dynamism. A very appealing and attractive one!

"through foggy london town, the sun was shining everywhere" comme chantait Ella... Je trouve que le bus remplace le soleil sur cette photo
