Photographer's Note
Blue skies and a view of St Paul's Cathedral from above the glass-roofed escalator, at the entrance to the shopping centre at One New Change in the City of London, England. The iconic Dome's inverted reflection in the glass looking like a chalice.

Hi Brian,
I'm fascinated by this picture because I find it really complex to understand how the reflection works! I love the juxtaposition of the modern glass against the beautiful old dome.

Hello Brian - I am lost for words with this shot; such a unique and creative look at a well-known landmark. What fascinates me is the juxtaposition of the venerable old cathedral and the slick modern look of the blue roofed escalator. This really does emphasise the fact that London is continually developing and one can read the history of architecture through her buildings. The colour shot works well but for me the B&W is fantastic, just so dramatic and beautifully converted. Have a lovely weekend and TFS this unique work. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Brian,
A most unusual take on St Paul's and a very successful one. A perfectly framed image that benefits much from the lovely lighting and excellent colours. Well seen and beautifully realised.

Hello Brian,
What an innovative and striking view of the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral! You did well to seek out and find this wonderful viewpoint. Did you (as I occasionally do) look for this spot on Google Earth from the comort of home before setting out on your photographic trip?
As always, your photograph is of the utmost quality with gorgeous vibrant colours, perfect light and exposure and exquisite details and sharpness. The composition too is excellent (as well as innovative) and the reflection in the glass canopy does indeed make one think of a chalice - how appropriate!
I've had a look at the black and white version (on your website which seems to be developing extremely well). It is excellent with fabulous contrasts and lovely tones. I don't think I can say which one I prefer because, although both are excellent, they are both quite different.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Brian - while both are creative and well executed, the monochrome version is simply stunning. The blue in the color shot is clear and lovely, but when I look at the mono shot I realize how much the blue distracts me in the color version. Without it, the beautiful building and crystal clear reflection stand out brilliantly, with sharp contrast to add drama. Really outstanding shot.

Une façon très originale de "dédoubler" la cathédrale Saint-Paul!La version noir et blanc est belle mais je suis un peu plus séduit par la couleur. Toujours une qualité d'image irréprochable.

Hi dear Brian
A beautiful vertical frame of this famous London icon. I love the incandescent blue tones, although, looking at your B&W version, am really torn between the two and could not say which I prefer. Perhaps the monochrome is more artistic whilst the coloured one packs more punch. Anyway, wonderful reflections and an intriguing place in which to find them. The sharpness and symmetry are sensations. Thanks for sharing.
Have a lovely Saturday

Hello Brian,
This is a view of St Pauls that is new for me. I like the contrast of modern and old arcitecture and how clever to catch the reflection of one in the other. Inspiring work.

Hi Brian
I think Lisa hit the nail on the head exactly - the color version has more POP, and the monochrome is more artistic...a perfect explanation of the two versions.
Again, for all the rain in London, its amazing how you don't have any rainy shots, and mostly blue skied photos! :)
this is a very neat and tidy composition, and a clever one too. the inverted dome is a total bonus, and steals the show.
superb lighting and exposure levels once again.
cheers
