Photographer's Note

Another day dawns over the fells of Lancashire. The rural landscape of the rolling fells was formed during the last ice age which ended only 10000 years ago. A great ice sheet and gigantic glaciers carved up the Lake District and the Northern fells revealing the bed rock of limestone and gritstone in many places.

Northern England is chock full of beautiful countryside, just don't tell anyone or more Southerners like me will want to move North!

This was taken on a cold and frosty January morning a week or so ago.
