Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Let me explain the title.
When I see dead trees, they often conjure up images of things that I know in the real world. This particular log seriously resembled the image of a Komodo Dragon. (Malgo showed us plenty of originals last year.)
I took a completely different photograph of the log and was hesitant as to which to post as the main one. This, maybe, fulfils the role of Komodo Dragon better but, I will post the other for your judgement.
The trees in this ancient wood, which fall, are left in situ or are positioned appropriately, so that they can become weathered and produce food or homes for lots of native insects; thus enriching the food chain.
Of course, my main aim had been to see the bluebells, which can be seen colouring the b/g a deep shade of blue.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi Bev,
The flowers are framing well the fallen tree. The point of view is showing the details of the log looking like a Komodo dragon. The light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Bev,
The light is good in both photos, maybe the best in the WS, which also includes two persons in the background, but this photo inspires my imagination the most. Maybe a Komodo dragon, maybe someone crawling across the floor looking for a lost item. The possibilities are aplenty. In darkness it might scare me, in this bright light it's just amusing. And the blue carpet is really beautiful.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Beverley
Nature is the most honest and honest feeling in life. The dead tree becomes the manure of the forest, and the flowers that absorb the nutrients decorate the forest more beautifully and vigorously.
Start a lively week.

An imaginary Komodo or maybe a giant snake lay in the English forest... Nice idea for a title, Beverley.
Bluebells flowers contrast well onto the green surrounding.
How cahrming to take an easy walk through.
Good afternoon,

Hello Bev
It might be a bit spooky to see this giant, lizard shaped log on a dark moonless night. Good use of a shallow dof. Although I have been to Indonesia several times I have not been to any of the small islands with resident populations of Komodo dragons. Tfs!

Pozdrav.
Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepo staro drvo i cvece, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrasto i perpsketivom.
Dobar rad sa lepom fotografijom u radionici.
Mrtvo drvo nas opominje da zasadimo novo.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hi Bev
A well captured image, especially of the dragon.Have you ever looked for faces in tree bark and fences. We discovered a horse in the fence at the local Lidl.
Colours and textures in this are very good.

Hello Beverley,
This Komodo dragon seems quite harmless to me. I would even dare to sit on it :)
The dead tree stump is a nice foreground for the view of the many bluebells in the forest. Hopefully it won't come back to life as soon as I sit down on it.
Excellent clear and sharp photos.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Beverley,
I tried some similar shots just this evening, when I went for a walk with my new camera. The shapes of the tree are wonderful and I can see the resemblance with a komodo dragon. The blue carpet in the background is also beautiful.

Hi Bev,a special guest in the forest ground full of purple flowers in these days,in fact the form of dead tree reminds a bit a dragon but maybe Malgo will think different...ahaha...i like the different perspective very sharp in the WS and I agree for the choice of main. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Bev,
beautiful blue bell carpet, which you presented in a creative way with the imaginary komodo dragon.
I mentioned under your previous photo and started to wonder how is it even possible that I always miss blooming blue bells or blooming heather.
Well the answer is simple: I went for a walk today and I came back soaked by a sudden rain.
And it is not uncommon that the whole blue bell season rains and may rain now..
Well at least I can admire them in yoiur photos :)

Hi Bev,
I remember Komodo dragons Malgo showed to us. Greyish brown trunk on the ground has that resemblance. What a gift imagination is! Bluebells look charming and I can almost smell the spring here.

Oi Bev,
Bela composição com o "dragão de madeira" e as bonitas flores azuis ao fundo. Nada melhor do que um passeio em meio à natureza. Eu aprecio muito. Bela foto minha amiga.
Parabéns

Hello Beverley, two very good shots, and I can understand why you chose this for the main picture. The fallen tree with its interesting form allows us to use our imaginations.
The bluebell carpet adds a lot to the scene.
In the workshop picture I noticed a figure in the background.
Still cold and very windy here!
Kind regards, Jean.

yes, the shapes of the dead tree give us an idea of a dragon. nice view of the strip of the blue caused by the flowers in the middle of the forest.
here a hot very day (not usual in may), no rain in the next 15 days, plants are dyeing.
take care

Hi Bev
Hope you stayed clear of the Komodo dragon - they are not friendly. A good photo of log and blue bells.

The dragon makes an excellent lead-in and foreground for the bluebells. A pleasant natural setting
