Hornby Castle sits high above the village of Hornby Nr Lancaster. The Castle was started in the 13th century as a replacement for Castle Stede. The tower dates to the 16th century but the rest was constructed during the 18th and 19th centuries. This view from the main road through Hornby is actually the back of the Castle.
