Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

I have been sharing the village of Downham, for my last few photographs. This is another scene from the outskirts of the village, an old farmhouse, taken when the winter sun was low in the sky.

Maybe you will recognise the mullioned windows, that I explained in my last post. These are smaller than in the Manor House but are still divided, and recessed, with the stone moldings above them.

This is a very rural area, with lots of old farmhouses dotted around. The farms generally concentrate on livestock, sheep being the most important.

As a workshop, I will show a second, bigger farmhouse. It also has mullioned windows but they are not so visible. On this second photograph, you will be able to see the sheep.

Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)

Sorry Everyone, Someone came to the door and I was distracted from my purpose!
I will add the w/s now!!
