Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

I walked through one of the local villages last week and took a photograph of this once proud textile mill. This area used to be famous for the weaving of cloth.

I decided that I would try to capture as many as possible, before it is too late, since the vast majority have now been demolished. I hope I can make them interesting as not all are as pretty as this one.

The mills were situated, initially, near running water as this provided power for the engines to drive the machinery. This mill is no longer used for its original purpose and grass can be seen growing from the top of the tall chimney!

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph.
