Photographer's Note

Each year i take Bluebell photos at different locations, and this year is no exception!

I took a drive to the western side of the island, and parked in a small village called Mottistone, then walked up through the Bluebell carpeted woodland until i reached this location.

There weren't as many Bluebells at this spot, but the trees and various wild flowers (Bluebells included) added some well needed colour.

The woodland is quite some distance from any roads, and it was wonderful to hear the singing of the birds, and the occasional rustling of small mammals snuffling about on the extremely dry forest floor.

I used a polarizing lens
