Here is a detail from one of those big doors of Winchester Cathedral.


Winchester is a city and the county town of Hampshire, in southern England, with a history going back to Roman times.

The town's major landmark is its cathedral, which is one of the largest in Europe. More specifically, it has the longest nave and overall length of all Gothic cathedrals in Europe. It is also where Jane Austen is buried.

Overall, Winchester is a great little town to visit. Sad thing is the rifle company, not the town, seems to top the google list. O, them gun nuts...
