Photographer's Note

Sadly, a cloudy day dampened the potential for the photographs I took on my recent day trip to the East Sussex town of Rye.

While maps show a windmill on the site of the current one at the end of the 1600s, the current structure was built in 1932, following a fire in the bakery the building then housed.

Currently a bed & breakfast, the mill is Grade II Listed and is one of the many sights that the historic once-coastal town has.
