Photographer's Note
Early morning, a crescent moon and the sun just below the horizon at Pett Level Beach near Hastings in East Sussex, England. The beach here is just to the west of Dungeness and Romney Marsh and peppered with old groynes and longshore drift defences, which have been sculptured and smoothed by the sea.

Bonjour Brian,
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Les cailloux rouges sont très beaux et poussent le regard vers les vieux piquets mangés par l'érosion. Le cadrage vertical permet de bien voir la lune au loin.

Hello Brian,
Like three conversational statues, these groynes take centre stage. Their shapes, their textures and their position all demand attention. I just love how they link together the reddy pebbles of the f/g and the hint of red in the morning sky.
A beautiful, finely composed shot.
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hello Brian, you`ve made excellent use of the three posts to give interest and anchor the FG,with the pink early morning light very appealing. The colourful pebbles are a very striking feature.
Have a good week,
Les.

Ciao Denis
Bravissimo.
Ciao e buon inizio di settimana
Romano

Hi Brian,
I don't know how you do it, but I'm sure glad it continues...each and every picture taken from the same location has its own identity and characteristics. Impressive how you're able to maximize the subject matter you shoot! The rich red color of the rocks with the darker grey ones scattered throughout is a delight against the early morning blue sky, and that sliver of moon is a perfect touch to complete this beauty. Awesome! Have a good Tuesday.
Best wishes from Arizona,
Jason

Une étonnante composition exploitant magistralement ces sculptures naturelles. Lumière et couleurs au top. J'admire comme tu as réussi à peindre presque chaque caillou en rouge -)

Hello Brian,
This is a striking symmetrical composition with glorious early morning light - and taken using a tripod too!
The soft light and colours in the sky are in stark contrast to the vibrant colours in the wet pebbles on the beach and the strong contrasts in the rotted wooden posts. I think that the colours in the pebbles are a little oversaturated but that is poetic (or photographer's) licence and I think it works very well without appearing at all garish.
As always, perfect exposure and stunning depth of field and sharpness. And all the features that make the viewer realise that this has been a very painstaking piece of work.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Brian
Again this beach with the red peebles, contrasting with the deep blue sky! The 3 wodden pole add some more interest to the picture.

Hi Brian
Isn't it amazing how such a simple thing like water, can actually smooth out a hard surface like a rock! I'm still in awe about such things...strange I know...but nature is pretty cool!
this again shows your signature type of styling with the colorful rocks, the blue skyline, and the sharpness/clarity which you always seem to nail.
love the hint of the moon too!
see you around

Simply perfect!
I had to add it to my favourites... I love the composition, the foreground is amazing and what a great idea to include the crescent moon.
Beautiful colours and wonderful light.
