Photographer's Note

Seeing this image elsewhere on TE recently, I was reminded of my own offering, which is a curious portrayal of the real thing.

My version weighs 15000 tonnes and has a top speed of diddly squat. The real thing on the other hand is a world record holder, the fastest steam locomotive in the world, a record she has held since 1938.

For more images and information look here, and of course there are many other web sites.

To see more statisitics and explanation about the brick train visit this web site.

Situated right beside the A66 north, past Darlington, the train is hard to miss. Look here for a better idea. The little yellow man is ready and waiting for his walk !
