Photographer's Note

The town of Sidmouth lies at the mouth of the River Sid on the Devon coast. Sidmouth is well known for its spectacular red cliffs. The rocks that form these cliffs date back to the Triassic period and have proved to be a rich source for fossil finders.

Sidmouth's popularity as a coastal resort dates back to the 18th and 19th century and the town still has many splendid buildings dating back to these eras.
