Bayard's Cove Fort, a photo from Devon, England

Photographer's Note

Bayard's Cove Fort was built in the 16th century to protect the inner harbour at Dartmouth. A small artillery fort, It is situated on the quayside in the old quarter of the town.

This view taken through one of the cannon slits looks across the River Dart to the village of Kingswear.

A picture made through a opening find I lovely, this gives extraordinarily depth and good perspective.
Very well done with the small boat in foreground.
Colors and presentation are very well.

Hi Finlay,The framing here has given extra depth to this image, the inclusion of the boats in particular.The scattered and varied,housing on the hillside reminds me of a resorts on the continent rather than the UK, especially with the good light and blue sky, an attractive location. Thanks Tom.
