Hi Les, It was well worth getting up , and in the shortest night of the year it was very early. Four o'clock? But what a lovely view. Marvelous composition with this lone tree and cylinder. Are these Urtica so big on the left?
I like it very mmuch.

Hello Les,
Silly me! As soon as I saw this picture, I looked and looked at it and compared it several times with your last picture and thought to myself, "Is this the same tree or isn't it?". And then, of course, I read your note!
Again, a very well composed shot, attained by simply walking another few yards around that straw bale to catch the bale and the tree from another viewpoint 180° from your last. The line of the hedge is a strong compositional line and the tree and the bale are both perfectly placed in the frame.
Again, gorgeous light and colours and exceptional depth of field and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Leslie,
You have a talent for finding expressive trees, although I notice this one has been recycled. I prefer this version to the last one because of the fine view of the hazy surroundings and the moody morning colours of the sky. It's a brilliant shot.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Les - Interesting to see this scene from the opposite direction and at a different time of day. The pair of images are a great example of the role of light in photography and how the mood of an image can change dramatically. The look here is more romantic I think and as the shot was taken at the beginning of the day there is a very well conveyed feeling of stillness and expectancy.
Lovely!
Warm regards

Hello Leslie,
I like this very atmospheric picture - one can almost feel the morning peaceful mood. The chosen POV is very good and the hedgerow leads and eye towards misty valley in the distance. I like how you placed the roll of hay in the whole composition - it attracts the attention and counterbalances the left side of the picture in very nice way. Very good light management and pretty colors.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Leslie,
This tree is definitely up to something, and if I didn't know better, I would accuse it of stealing bales of hay! Great, angle to shoot from, the bend of the tree over the hedge really solidly links the two subjects together and the colors ofthe sky are just beautiful. Beautiful shot, and one that made me smile, thanks for sharing.
All the best

Hello Leslie
this is such a charming picture with great pov and perspective and of course the lovely light of dawn. The clear and sharp foreground contrasts so well with the hazy plains in the distance. The tree against the beautiful morning sky has great visual appeal and is positioned perfectly in the frame.
Thanks for sharing this superb picture.
Have a great weekend.
best regards
