Photographer's Note

I have a fascination with Graffiti. In Sweden, my second country, it is forbidden. I can understand why people and authorities gets pissed off when youngsters are tagging the whole city around. However there is a great difference with taggs and Graffiti. Graffiti is an art form, which depending on the sourrandings fits extremelly well within an urban setting. It is a pity that the dialog at least in Sweden is closed in this matter. I started a project several years ago. The idea was to shot graffitis as most of them after a time are getting covered with a new one. Unfortunatelly my old pictures (not digital ones)are in an attic somewhere in the deep forests of Smaland, Sweden. In Asmara graffitis do not exist and as far as I am concern I have never seen this art form in those African countries I have visited.

I am posting this one which I took in Brighton last year while I am processing my newly taken pictures from Italy. I feel as well to sort of change the style of published pictures, I thought that sharing this urban artwork with you would be a good begining.
