Photographer's Note
Taken on the way down from Sprinkling Tarn in the Lake District, walking back to Seathwaite Farm (the wettest place in England according to the official records). There are numerous rockpools and waterfalls and the warm evening sun brought the ripples on the bedrock to life. Tried a mixture of fast and slow shutter speeds, the fast ones worked much better (to my mind) by freezing the ripples and the colour diffraction effects.
Levels, slight saturation boost (+5%), crop, unsharp mask. I'd like to add a black frame but can't find how to do this in PS Elements - can anyone help?!

Steve, you made a nice shot of the water and the waves creating the patterns on the rocks. I think it is the shadows of the waves that cause the white lines on the rocks. It is these that make the colors of the composition interesting. A shot that is nice to watch
