Photographer's Note

"Inspired"? Yesterday I posted some shots of the garland at Cotehele, so if you refer back to those you will notice that the walls were also decorated. This is one close-up of some of that decoration.

The artist is Dominique Coiffait, a print artist, who worked alongside the garden team, making studies of all the flowers and trees in the gardens. Then making lino cut prints of all his artwork, before cutting them out to create this wonderful collage.

Interspersed with all the flowers were letters, postcards and photographs relating to real people who had played their part in the First World War.

Two more shots in the workshop.
