Photographer's Note

"Spotted", this is a Six Spot Burnet Moth.

"A sluggish, day flying moth, reluctant to take to the air. It usually has six clear red spots on the forewing, although the two outer spots may merge into one. The hindwing is red with a narrow black border.
It winters as a caterpillar."
Spotted on the colourful flowers in the gardens at St. Michael's Mount.
I would have preferred a closer view but didn't want to frighten it away!
Thanks for looking.
