Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

I heard on the news, yesterday, that Jodrell Bank has been made a Unesco World Heritage Site. So, having been there a couple of times, I decided to trawl my archives to find a suitable photograph to acknowledge the event.

"Jodrell Bank Observatory has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. It has been at the forefront of astronomical research since its inception in 1945 and tracked US and Russian craft during the space race. The site in Cheshire is part of the University of Manchester".

This is one of the photos that I took on my first visit there.
It is a super feature to crop and display from different angles.

I will add a couple of workshops to give people who have never seen it, a more complete understanding of the telescope.

(It didn't really fit into any of the categories so I chose Daily Life!)

Have a good day, Bev :-)
