Photographer's Note

Standing on a hill and towering above the dam at Lymm, St Mary’s church is an imposing structure, records show a church has stood on the site since the 10th century, though it’s been rebuilt several times, most recently in 1851. The church tower shown here was added in 1890 and is built in the gothic style, look carefully at the structure and you’ll see many examples of gothic architecture, particularly the gargoyles that surround the tower’s top section.
