Photographer's Note

The Royal Horticultural Society, famous for its Flower Shows at Chelsea and Hampton Court in London, holds its Northern Show at the stately home of Tatton Park.
The shows are the horticultural equivalent of the county agricultural shows. Not only are there large competitive displays of flowers from specialist growers - like this one of Gladioli from a plant nursery near Hull. There are also competitions for flower arrangements and more spectacularly for complete gardens. The garden designers vie with each other but produce a wide range of styles from minimalist hard surfaces with a few flowers in solus positions through to recreations of chintzy cottage gardens.
And there are all the attendant camp-follower stalls eager to tempt the happy excited crowd with there particular wares which may or may not be related to the show's theme.
Minimal post-processing with levels, reduce, sharpen.
