Photographer's Note

I have had the good fortune to visit Chester twice in recent months, and of course one of the must sees in Chester is the 'The Rows', an area in the centre of the town, featuring buildings with two pavement levels, one at ground level, and one above.
The buildings are predominantly medieval, though no doubt built on foundations laid by the Romans.

Wandering round the town centre at night, admiring the many half timbered buildings , and in some cases with very ornate pargeting, I couldn't help but notice that perhaps the pigeons get a rough deal !
