Photographer's Note
The recent uploads of Ricx and MJR will give you the background to a recent 'clandestine' TE meeting in Oxforshire. Before the evening activities started Ricx organised a fabulous visit to the National Trust landscape gardens of Stowe in nearby Buckinghamshire. Orginally created in the 18th Century the vast grounds contain over 40 temples, monuments, and follies. The National Trust acquired the grounds from the famous Stowe School in 1990 and have carefully restored them and created beautiful trails between the follies and the lakes. The picture here shows a reflection of one of them in the lake.

Hi Ann. Indirect view. The reflection of a temple in the water. A beautiful picture taking. A temple is an idealization of human existence, so to speak. Well seen and presented. Rgds wolfgang.

Hello Ann,
A great capture of these lovely Impressionist reflections. Lighting and colours are both superb.

Hello Ann
A very delicate reflection. Like an impressionist painting.
The undulations are perfect, not too much pronounced so that we can contemplate the architecture.
The palette of colors is very soft and elegant.
Perhaps I would have cropped the upper part. The swirls of the water are not very interesting I think, and turn the eyes away from the main subject.
The pale green in border of frame would have been more pretty.
Just my two cents. Anyway, it's a beautiful picture.
Regards
Karine

Hi Ann,
A very fine and very artistic capture. The reflections in the water surface are a real water painting and the circles (a fish?) are also contributing to the artistry.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hi Ann, I feel you have caught this folley extremely well.. I am concerned that it lacks a little sharpness and suggest that maybe it is not totally level.. I hope you dont mind that I have done a small WS.. which I hope wont detract from this wonderful reflection.. Rich PS you may notice that I did add a few people to the WS

Hi Ann,
I am looking at the photos of the meeting, read critiques and from them I try to learn abiout who was there and what you visited. My blurred image of this meeting step by step is sharper. So you discussed important themes in Cropredy, and also visited Stowe. I looked in Google at the places near Banbury with interesting gardens in hope that I could visit one of them. Stowe was on this list but finally I had not enough time.
Warm regards
Malgo

Hi Ann
Love this excellent motion effect, the ripples and blurred outlines of water reflection offering hints of coloured building structure that grabs attention and make this work. Well captured with the eye following the natural movements and the blur and it's all left to the viewer's imagination to reads the detail into it. Very reminiscent of a painting. Great stuff, quite an off route approach from you. Well done and congrats
Best regards

Hello Ann,
Excellent image. A traditional painter like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas would love this marvelous reflection. Your picture is like came out from the movement Impressionism.
Excellent idea and technique.
Thanks for sharing,
Congrats,
Maria

My withered male sensibilities in general don't care for the reflective shot, but in this case it adds a little spice to the scene. ( and I didn't see it, so how can I like it ! )
Did you throw the stone that caused the ripple which really gives the whole more purpose. Or just the luck of the good photographer ?!
kind regards
Martin

Hello Ann,
Bonne image avec des reflets d'une grande qualité dûe au mouvement léger de la surface de l'eau et des teintes.
Bonne soirée
