Photographer's Note

I visited Ukraine in 2003, it's still analog times for me.
I searched the archive and found some unpublished photos. These are scans from the positives.
I think the city of Lviv is worth mentioning these days.
I hope this beautiful city will survive these difficult times unscathed.
How could such a culturally interesting city be destroyed?
I think Russia will stop the war.

Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepo mesto sa spomenikom i arhitektura u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.

This is a view I remember well, and maybe I have a similar photo in my archive. The monument, the church tower and the tree balance each other well and the colours are quite good, maybe with a slightly red hue.

You have used a well balanced trio in your composition, giving strength to the composition.
Perhaps the focus is a little soft but I do appreciate, this is a scanned photograph.

Let us hope that the Ukrainian people can keep their strength and resolve against such barbarous attacks!

Hi Krzysztof,

The tree is giving a touch o nature to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the church, of the building and of the sculpture. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

I hope this view is still there in years to come. The Russians have now started bombing Lviv environs. Reasonable sharpness and a very slight tilt to the left. Tfs!

Oboje szperamy w ukrainskiej szufladzie.
Mysle ze warto, w pewnym sensie nieustannie pzypominamy swiatu o tym co sie dzieje. Zastanawiam sieczy powinnismy byli sie zsynchronizpwac bo dzisiaj mam wlasnie zamiar wkleic zdjecie z tym pomnikiem ale w przeciwna strone. Tym sposobem nasze reportaze swietnie sie uzupelniaja.

Hello Krzysztof,
A beautiful and unusual monument for Taras Shevchenko in Lviv.
But his statue was not in this picture.
Well presented with the tower of the Archcathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (the Katedra Łacińska) in the background.
