Photographer's Note

In Kharkiv, there are two churches named in honor of Saint Pantaleon (Panteleymon the Healer), in the city’s historic regions Ivanivka and Pavlove Pole.

This is the Panteleymon Church in Ivanivka, Klochkovska Street, 94a. The church was built in 1882 – 1885 according to a project of Fyodor Danilov near Panteleymonovskiy Spring. In 1898, another Kharkiv’s architect Mikhail Lovtsov reconstructed it. The church was in ruins from the 1960s to the 1990s.
