Photographer's Note

Demonstration of the soloist of the "Frecces Tricolore", Major Mario Ferrante (Number 10 of the Italian team).

Seq. 1 : The aircraft, losing its thrust in a vertical position, is close to the stall.
Seq. 2 : The aircraft falls, by lack of speed, into a controled stall (perfect trim angle and Angle Of Attack - AOA).
Seq. 3 : To not lose its control, the aircraft starts a vertical nose dive (nearly reverse) to increase its speed and thereby its lift.
Seq. 4 : Now, the aircraft have again enough speed to straighten up and to continue its display with the others planes.

The 4 shots assembled have been taken with the continuous mode shooting, Shutter Priority exposure mode, with the continuous autofocus mode (AF-C).
