Photographer's Note
The valley of Derborence has two different climates: in the lower part the climate is continental, dry and hot like the Central-Valais and the upper part has a climate humid, almost Atlantic like the Lower-Valais. The humid air mass penetrates underneath the mountain chains of Diablerets, passing through the Pas de Cheville.
I took this picture near de Lake of Derborence (Valais – Switzerland) at an altitude of 1'450 meters.

Hi Serge.
I like your presentation and a detailed note about the two zone climate in the mountain range. Beautiful natural world still exists, we just need to be vigilant and have enough patience to be able to see it. Thanks for sharing.
