Photographer's Note
I made this image from near the ski lift above Saas-Grund in Valais Switzerland. The peak of the Dom and cirque/glacier towers over 4,000 metres in the backgound. The small buildings are summer farmer's huts.In winter, many residents still keep their animals under the floor of their alpine cottages in the valley. The view appealed because it is timeless, with little in the way of cues to the era other than fairly recent roof cladding on a couple of the huts.I believe that the Saas valley was accessed only by a rudimentary track until the 2nd World War.

Very nice composition. Looks like quite a site, i bet it's even better in real life.

The mountain seems very imposing above this small village. With the zoom which "crushes" the depth of field, that is even more striking. Well done and pretty, good composition.

Jolie point de vue. Les maisons semblent vraiment petites à côté de cette montagne géante.
