Photographer's Note
After my "Ice wide shot" series, here is a "skins of trees" series in a large panoramic size view.
Click on the image to see the large version.
These skins, showing a wide variety of colors and textures, have been taken from trees in the Finges Forest.

Again a very creative use of the large format, Isabelle. It kind of takes your "ice wide shot" idea to the next stage - even more pictures, and even more details. Very colorful and bright. I'm also quite impressed with the design of your preview picture that we're seeing on top of this page.

Bravo

That's a lovely serie you started. The ice one was magical. This one is wonderful too and very instructive as it allow you to share your sharp eye with us.
The mix of skin is really harmonious in the way you built it. Smart idea, splendid job.
Eh, you should consider selling such posters :)

What an amzing work. A good combination/juxtaposition of the different skins of the trees. The colors and texture of the tree skins are very detailed. But above all, I REALLY like your design in the thumbnail. Very creative, very professional.

I loved so much your work concerning ice... here, on my screen, moss ("lichen" in french) seems to be streched and images are a little blurred.

It's really beautiful Isabelle! To see the "skins" as close as possible. Looks like the work of Nina Ludwig which I admire too. And your montage is excellent...

How did I miss this yesterday?? I think that this is superb. The idea is imaginative and you have carried it off brilliantly. This is in no small part due to the high quality of the component images. I usually have reservations about the inclusion of the title in a picture but you have done it really well here.

A fine collection! There is material for a book in those pictures. (And behind the skins too, just walked by the paper mill.)
Hard to have comments on 13 pictures at once but the sharpness and textures are all very fine. And you have fine eyes and fantasy to find them!

This idea is so good I want to copy it! But I'll resist . . . Wonderful clarity to each of the images, Louy. Really marvelous work.
