Photographer's Note
Here’s a shot taken three weeks ago during our TE Bibiday meeting in Valais. Having visited the Emosson Dam and enjoyed lunch close by, it was now time to say our farewells and to go our separate ways. The descent began with taking the funicular, followed by this steam train, and then another funicular to get down to where we had parked, and to begin the journey home – for some, a journey of quite some hours. This is one of the last photos I took – the lighting on the return journey had improved along this section, and we enjoyed these final views before our final descent.
Wishing you all an excellent weekend!

Salut Susanna,

Hi Susanna
Fantastic pov out of the train. You know you weren't allowed to stick your arms out ;-)
The sharpness is excellent and there's so much depth. I like the details such as the 20 and the smoke.
Enjoy your evening.

Hi Susanna
I don't understand how you succeeded in getting this POV. The result is great. Nice composition with pretty contrast between the red train and the blue sky.

Great shot! The view looking up the track is really good, and you managed to get the photo centred between the train and the rail. Beautiful colours too, however, the sky looks greyish, which is a common problem when you use a polarizer. You might try increasing the saturation of the blue to bring some more colour and warmth to the blue sky, so it looks natural. Beautiful work as it is though!

Hi Sussana,Good snapshot!
I give you this two points because of the sharpness of this picture, shoot on a moving train and of course also there´s a lot of vibrations as well.

Bonjour Susanna,

Hi Susanna, you really have us hanging over the ledge here, fantastic vantage point! Love how you've carefully split the screen in two for us, great lines throughout and the smoke from the train adds to the realism.

Salut Susanna

Bon dimanche JY

I liked this shot immediately when I saw it yesterday - the composition is excellent, and the punchy colours and strong light only add to the impact.
The line of the train, and of the barrier leading in from the corner, really draw the eye into the scene and also give a great sense of depth to the image.
It's very well taken Susanna, well done.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Susanna.
What a superb shot! I love this one, which makes me feel vertigo just looking at it. Superb composition/cropping to place the red train right at the edge of the photo, as well as at the edge of the cliff. Great polarised light and colour. Great note, too. Magnificent!

Susanna,
Very nice - great fun and great quality! I can never resist sticking my head out of train windows either - usually with pretty poor results, it must be said!

Salut Susanna,
Bon week-end.

Hi Susanna,
An amazing shot. I love your POV and the striking red colour of the train, the fence starting from the right corner at the bottom the beaufiful sky and the very steep mountain side.
Cheers,
Ulf

Hi Susanna,
What a dynamic and colourful shot...The view of the couple in the cable car is completely separated from the valley below, and there is superb depth here. You really achieved good sharpness with minimal motion blur. A fine capture, Susanna.
