Photographer's Note


Here is the impressive Dent de Chamosentze (2712 m, see map), above the village of Ovronnaz, famous for its baths, captured on the way down from the Rambert hut (2580 m).

Like hanging over our heads, the Dent de Chamosentze exhibits its supernatural silhouette. Worrying guardian of this place, it commands respect and silence.

It is in this area that Claudio Tonetti filmed the adaptation of the novel "The Great Fear on the Mountain" by Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz. The novel questions the human disobedience to the omnipotence of nature.
