Bellevue hotel, a photo from Obwalden, West

Photographer's Note

After Zurich we went here for an overnight stay, it was quite pricey but a very nice experience to sit up here after the last cable car had descended, we were actually the only guests up there that night, so we had it all to us selves.
Top of the Pilatus mountain is approximately 2200 meters up and the view in the background is the Vierwaldstattersee surrounded by mountains.
The hotel is called bellevue, which in this case seem fair enough.

Shot in RAW, then converted to B+W, this one actually had some decent colors in it, i just felt that the details were better in this version.

It looks like something from a James Bond movie! No wonder it is called Bellevue; the view looks spectacular. I like the inclusion of the structure on the left to give a bit of context and a clue about your POV.

This is indeed a remarkable place Harry, I went there again a few months ago, what an amazing view isn't it, despite the clutter of tourist infrastructure here, it is a majestic sight, the lack of tourist hordes is astonishing, when I visited, the summit was mobbed.
