Photographer's Note
This image is composed of a 3 photos set that I was planning on making into a panorama when I shot it this morning. But when I saw the composite I really liked the way the foreground draws you to the castle. I tried cropping it but I just lost that "WOW" feeling thast I got when I first saw it.
This was stiched using AutoPano Pro from a set of 3 vertical shots and has an FOV of 44° x 26°. The picture has very little post processing using photoshop CS3; a slight bump in hue, a moderate bump in saturation (+10), and +1 for lightness. I also ran "smart sharpen".
In this picture you can see 4 famous structures in Neuchatel, Switzerland: the castle, begun in the 12th century; the Collegiale, begun in 1185; the clock tower; and the prison tour.

Hi Charlie!
Nice photo, and I do envy your point of view! You caught a very beautiful light.
Now I'm obliged to do some nitpicking, alas... for I think the castle is a bit too centered, and that the photo would gain in strength without that much of the nineteenth/twentieth-century buildings of the Rue des Parcs on the right of the castle.
And the historian in me can't resist the urge to add that the church is not a a Cathedral, never being the see of a bishop, but a Collegiale, run by a college of canons (and even that is subject to interpretation) before Reformation made it a parish church in 1530...
Thanks for sharing!

Une vue originale et peu courante de la collégiale ! belle lumière et ciel photogénique, petit regret tout de même pour la composition avec le sujet en plein centre !
