Vue sur la ville de Berne (Bern en allemand) env 140'000 habitants.
Berne, capitale de la Suisse, est bâtie sur une péninsule entourée par la rivière Aar. Les origines de la cité remontent au XIIe siècle, l'architecture médiévale ayant été préservée dans l'Altstadt (la vieille ville).
Elle est inscrite au patrimoine culturel mondial de l'UNESCO, grâce à son patrimoine médiéval urbain qui a pu être préservé au cours des siècles.

Hello Roland,
An elegant composition in well processed B&W. The trees frame the view of the city perfectly and the tall church tower is a good focal-point. It is also nicely balanced by two other church towers.

Bonjour Roland,
A lovely view of the city and the hills in the background. The park and the bench make a good foreground and the trees provide a nice frame. Well done.

Bonjour Roland,

This is a well exposed b&w photograph.
You have used the trees effectively to frame the scene, encouraging viewers inwards.
The spire creates a good sense of depth and is strongly placed in the frame.

Bonjour Roland,

Berne me semble bien terne en cette saison.Le noir et blanc est bien réussi et le banc est bien placé dans le cadre. J'aimerais y être pour apprécier la vue.

you know what I enjoy most about this one? its the mood and atmosphere. It has a real haunting type of feel to it.
its as if it should be in a Horror movie :) and I mean that in a positive way. wonderful black and white effect. love the tree branches reaching out like that. cheers

Bonjour Roland,
Personally, I will not easily prefer black and white, but I would like to make an exception for this beautiful photo. The attractive nostalgic atmosphere of this photograph can only arise in an attractive composition of shades of grey.
