Basel in the Autumn

Like I announced, I am putting my North American series on hold to show some photos from a more recent trip. Two weeks ago I visited the Dreiländereck, the tripoint of France, Germany and Switzerland near the Swiss city of Basel, which was also where most time was spent. It was lovely autumn weather, which is also the reason I am starting this series now and won’t wait till the end of my North American travelogue and post autumn pictures in the spring. :-)

Basel is the third most populous city in Switzerland with about 180,000 inhabitants, located in the northwest of the country. This is a view of the Rhine and the Mittlere Rheinbrücke, a bridge from 1905, built on the spot of an earlier bridge from 1225.
